About Extracting Linkedin profile search

Linkedin is all about networking and Linkedin search is the epicenter of doing that. You can find a lot of untapped gold on Linkedin. We have created this spice to help you find and connect with potential leads or find valuable information from their profile by scraping basic or all information from the profile.

You can use this spice just by entering the search query or Linkedin search URL. You can control the execution by mentioning how many pages should be scrape from the Linkedin search for the specified query.

Limitations & important points to note

Following limits imply to this spice using TexAu:

  1. There’s no limit to how many profiles you can scrape but if you have a free profile, we recommend only scraping 50-100 profiles per day. However, you will have to keep in mind your daily limit. You can find those details here.

Understanding the whole execution of this spice

Here we will see the steps of the execution & the inputs required for this spice.

The whole execution will play around these 6 input points & the total time to execute this will be around 1-2 minutes, depending on the number of search queries/URLs to execute.

Here’s what each of the input points means:

  1. Li_AT: Linkedin uses this piece of information to ensure it’s really you who’s using the Linkedin profile.
  2. Search Text or URL: Enter a search query or search URL you want to scrape the profiles from. We suggest using a search URL for the best results. If you have a list of search URLs, upload a CSV or link a Google sheet, skip to step 4.
  3. Number of pages: Specify the number of pages you want to scrape from Linkedin search.
  4. Upload a CSV or Link a Google Sheet: Here you can upload a CSV or link a Google sheet containing the list of Linkedin search URLs.
  5. Extract profiles from search results: Clicking on this button will immediately start the execution.
  6. Schedule this spice: You can schedule running this spice if you have too big of a list to finish in one day. You can schedule the execution every day, specific days of the week or month. You can even schedule the execution multiple times a day.

How to scrape profiles from Linkedin search using TexAu?

Refresh your automation page and click on the Get Cookie button. Make sure you’re logged in to your Linkedin account & the activated chrome extension will do the job.

Step 2: Upload the CSV or paste Google sheet URL (only if you have multiple search URLs/queries)

If you have a CSV, simply upload it from your PC. If you have a Google Sheet, there are some extra steps.

  • First, paste the Google sheet’s URL.
  • Either get the session cookie or use our chrome extension to do it with the click of a button.
  • Input the column containing the Linkedin search URLs. Make sure you choose the right column for successful execution.

For the final touch, make sure you have set the sheet as public (as shown below) so the TexAu can access it.

Step 3: Start execution or schedule the automation

Clicking on the Extract profiles from search results button will immediately start the execution. Based on the number of search URLs to scrape from Linkedin search, the execution time will vary.
